Baseball - Hall of Fame cuts new retiree induction time– US all-time home run king Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire and other players linked to performance-enhancing substances now have less time as candidates for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame officials announced Saturday they were changing induction rules for the first time since 1991, trimming the maximum number of years that retired players remain on the ballot from 15 years to 10 years. “The board is committed to keeping the policies and voting procedures of the Hall of Fame relevant,” said Hall of Fame board chairman Jane Forbes Clark.
