Suspect in British MP Jo Cox Slaying a Longtime Neo-Nazi Supporter, Watchdog Group SaysA British member of Parliament was killed in a broad daylight shooting and stabbing after a town hall meeting at a library in West Yorkshire, England. “Jo Cox, MP for Batley and Spenborough, was attacked and fatally wounded on Market Street,” temporary Chief Constable Dee Collins told a news conference. Cox, 41, a Minister of Parliament (MP) for the Labour Party, was campaigning for the U.K. to remain in the European Union ahead of a national referendum on the issue June 23, and she was known for her work on Syria-related issues.
