Catalan separatists to form government

Catalonia’s separatists are set to vote in a new regional president on Sunday to push for independence from Spain, itself without a government, after the region’s leader stepped aside. Mas named Carles Puigdemont as his successor, paving the way for a separatist coalition government which aims to declare independence from Spain within 18 months.
