Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Republicans ‘obsessed’ with Hillary Clinton
Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Wednesday that Republicans are “obsessed” with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and are crossing a line with recent attacks on her bringing up her past.“It’s stunning that the Republican leadership is so obsessed with Hillary Clinton and anyone’s personal, private family business that they would drudge up 20-year-old issues like that,” Schultz said on MSNBC’s “Jansing and Co.” Wednesday. “It is not only not fair game, it’s offensive.” The Florida Democrat was asked about the release of an archive of personal documents of Clinton’s close friend, which include accounts of Clinton’s reactions to her husband’s affairs and her policy views.
Reince Priebus: ‘Truckload’ against Hillary Clinton
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Monday that when it comes to Hillary Clinton, Republicans will have a “truckload” of material to use against her, and it’s all fair game.
Priebus said recent, repeated comments from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) bringing up President Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky as a critique of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are legitimate.
“I think everything’s on the table,” Priebus said on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on Monday. “I think we’re going to have a truckload of opposition research on Hillary Clinton, and some things may be old, and some things might be new. But I think everything is at stake when you’re talking about the leader of the free world.”
