First US envoy for gay rights welcomes limited advances

Openly gay Randy Berry made the remarks after spending an “extraordinary” year traveling around the globe to gauge the experiences of gays and transgender people in different countries. “There at once is an emerging consensus worldwide that LGBTI persons should enjoy the same human rights as everyone else.
