Poll shows Corbyn on course to win Labour leadership

The 66-year-old socialist and anti-austerity campaigner was the first choice of 43 percent of the Labour supporters and trade unionists surveyed for The Times. Andy Burnham, the shadow secretary of health who is the bookmakers favourite, was the second-most popular — 17 points behind on 26 percent support.
