Sarah Palin to MSM: Obama's Failures Deserve More Attention than Richard Sherman

On Tuesday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said the mainstream media needed to focus more on the “dangerous progress” Iran may be making on acquiring nuclear weapons and President Barack Obama’s domestic failures and scandals than Richard Sherman’s post-game interview after the Seahawks defeated the 49ers in the NFC title game on Sunday.

Palin linked to an article in which Israel Prime Minister Benjamim Netanyahu called Canada “a great friend of the state of Israel” and praised Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper for his “exemplary support of our friend Israel.”

“As significant and dangerous progress is made by Iran no doubt wanting nukes, and with the continued threats against Israel by radicals in the region, Canada’s steadfastness is praiseworthy,” Palin wrote in a Tuesday Facebook post. “Friends, THIS issue, along with innumerable domestic failures of government, should warrant more concern and focus than things like, oh, say, how a Seattle Seahawk verbally ramped up after intense competition and hard fought victory.”

Making good on her New Year’s resolution to be more aggressive in calling out the “lapdog media,” Palin then urged Americans to continue to pressure the media and hold their elected officials accountable.

“Hold the media accountable as its priorities in coverage perhaps distract from REAL issues that actually affect your life. Hold government accountable,” Palin said. “Let’s do our own homework in order to know how the actions of leaders worldwide impact America.”

Palin, who has long been a Seahawks fan, was rooting for the Seahawks over the 49ers. After Sherman’s post-game remarks rocked the Internet and the sports world, Sherman received more coverage and scrutiny on even the mainstream news programs than Obama’s NSA scandals, the failures of Obamacare, or even Wendy Davis’s lies.
