Saudis seek US reassurance on Iran deal

Carter held talks in the Red Sea city of Jeddah with King Salman and his powerful son, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is defence minister and second-in-line to the throne. Carter arrived as part of a tour of the Middle East trying to allay the concerns of US allies that Iran, made wealthier under the deal, will be more able to support its regional proxies.
