SodaStream lays off last Palestinian workers after permit row

The 74 Palestinian staff, many of whom had worked at the Israeli company for at least five years, had been caught in a permit battle between the company and Israeli authorities since SodaStream’s main factory moved from the occupied West Bank into Israel. “Today is their final day working with the company, sadly,” SodaStream spokesman Maayan Nave told AFP.
