Sweden expects up to 190,000 asylum seekers this year

Sweden, a country of 9.8 million, is known for its generous asylum policy and welfare state, and is a preferred destination for refugees. According to the Migration Agency’s forecast, between 140,000 and 190,000 asylum applications are expected this year, and of those, between 29,000 and 40,000 are unaccompanied minors.
