Terrorism worse than Ebola, Chad leader tells Burkina Faso

Chad's President Idriss Deby Itno arrives in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on an official visit, on January 21, 2016Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno declared Thursday that terrorism is worse than the Ebola virus, during a visit of solidarity to Burkina Faso days after jihadist gunmen killed 30 people after storming a top hotel in Ouagadougou. “Terrorism is like an epidemic, worse than Ebola, worse than any illness,” Chad’s leader said. The landlocked central African country of Chad is pivotal in the fight against the Boko Haram Islamists operating in sub-Saharan Africa.
