Truck driver in US rail crash did not flee: lawyer

Alejandro Sanchez Ramirez, 54, was arrested by police after his truck was left stranded on tracks on a commuter line outside Los Angeles on Tuesday. Initial reports said Ramirez fled the scene and police later said he was found wandering around roughly one mile from the crash site. His lawyer Ron Bamieh told the Ventura County Star that Ramirez had tried to move the truck but panicked when he saw the train lights.
