Kolon also agreed in a separate deal to pay EI DuPont de Nemours & Co. an unspecified sum to end six years of litigation, during which DuPont had won a $920 million award in 2011 that was then annulled on appeal last year. The Department of Justice said Kolon agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to steal trade secrets in the federal court in Alexandria, Virginia. The company was sentenced to pay $85 million in criminal fines and $275 million in restitution to DuPont.
