US stocks end week higher despite rising gloom

About 30 minutes into trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 16,055.51, down 216.50 points (1.33 percent)Wall Street stocks closed the week on a positive note thanks to a late-afternoon rally Friday, but a weak US jobs report added to worries that the economy is slowing.
